The Cherry Wine Project

The Social Network Of Amateur WIne Makers From Around The World

I'm glad you're here and I look forward to connecting with you.

I'm just like your neighbor next door who happens to make wine and really enjoys teaching people how to do it as well.

The main goal of "The Cherry Wine Project" is to share my passion for wine making and help other people learn how to make wine themselves.

I regularly have people emailing me questions about wine making (which I love by the way) and therefore thought it might be worth having everyone ride "shotgun" beside my wife Michelle and I as we make cherry wine this summer (hence the name).

I sincerely hope that you become a member (if you haven't already) and actively participate by asking questions, joining in the discussions as well as providing your own wine making experiences as we will all benefit from your participation.

Anyhoo, I have a lot of work ahead of me but I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Welcome aboard!

- Scott "The Wine Making Guy"

P.S. If you know of anyone who enjoys wine making too don't hesitate to invite them along - the more the merrier!

P.S.S. If you have a wine related blog and would like to help promote "The Cherry Wine Project" I would be honored if you would create your own "The Cherry Wine Project Badge" and add it to your own blog. Details can be found on the bottom right of the page. Thanks!

Scott-I am on my second batch of wine I have just gotten into wine making myself and I am finding I really enjoying myself. As for Cherry wine, I too am trying my hand at it. I to use the same recipe as you, with some variations as in less grape concentrate. I would have not done a cherry wine normally but my brother-in-law gave me the cherries (45lbs worth). So I thought this will be a great new challenge. I am looking forward to hearing your results and anyone else that is doing the same. I will keep all post on the endeavor.

I have been making wine for less then a year, and still have a lot to learn (when I was a kid "helping" my grandfather he told me the exact same thing and he had been doing it since my father was a kid). I think no matter how long we do this, we will always be able to learn something. I have read a mountain of books on this subject, but is different actually doing it. I am exctied about this and am looking forward to another season.
